Home invasion turns violent, suspects steal Nike shoes, cash, electronics

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) – Two suspects stole multiple items including expensive Nike shoes during a home invasion in the University City area of Charlotte late Monday night.

The incident happened around 10:40 p.m. at a home in the 1600 block of Jeffrey Bryan Drive.

William Brooks, 55; Imelda Brooks, 49; and William Brooks, 20, were in the home at the time.

They told police two males kicked in the front door of the home.

Once inside, the suspects stole several items including cash, a 37-inch Vizio flat-screen television, a Toshiba laptop, purse, three pairs of Nike Dunks shoes, Nike Jordan Air13 shoes, and a Hamilton pocket watch.

The suspects would not let the victims move and even threatened to kill one of them.
